Snow... snow... snow... who does not dream of having a white Christmas? The sight of snow brings back many happy childhood memories to most of us. It reminds us of warm hugs from our parents, the gifts, family reunions as well as the true reason why we all celebrate Christmas: to remind us that Jesus Christ came into this earth for our sake... for our salvation. But, sadly, many people have other views when it comes to Christmas. For businessmen it is the time of year to sell... sell... sell. For the shopaholics it is the time of the year to shop til you drop.
No matter what your religious belief might be, it is but important that you see the importance of giving during the Christmas. But does giving have to only happen during Christmas time? I don't think so. Christmas giving should be done always-everyday. And that includes giving happiness to our family especially to our kids. In our fast-paced world these days, we sometimes neglect our kids and our duties as parents. You should keep in mind that being a parent is 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for a lifetime. And they should be on top of our priorities in life.
Here are activities that you and your kids can enjoy during the winter season:
1. Snowman- this may seem like an old game but believe me kids enjoy making snowman just as much as we did when we were kids. So, have everyone out and aside each family member with a task. Like mother and father will build the snowman's body while the kids will be the one to decorate the snowman.
2. Snowball fight- this game is fun! But you must also be careful because small kids might fall or slip. if possible do not let small children participate in this game. And when playing snowball fight do not include other materials like stone or twigs as this might cause injury. Fight only with snow balls.
3. Sled race- this is a great game for the adults and this is usually played on an area where there are no cars, vehicles. Don't forget to put on a helmet when riding your sled.
Snow is a wonderful thing but just like everything here on earth it can also harm people. That is why it is important to regularly snow plow your place to avoid untoward accidents especially if there are kids living with you.
